A native of Arizona, Dan Burkett was trained in architecture, receiving a B.S.D. at Arizona State ÐÓ°ÉרÇø and a Master of Architecture at Rice ÐÓ°ÉרÇø in Houston Texas. Dan currently lives in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he practices as a designer and maker and is a Master Instructor at the ÐÓ°ÉרÇø School of Architecture and Design. As an educator and designer, Dan is interested in reconceptualizing common practices of materials in design and how systems thinking as a design and research/teaching strategy can lead to more responsive and responsible design.
