Biography
Michael Crotty is Assistant Professor of Dance at the ÐÓ°É×¨Çø School of Music and Performing Arts. Michael received his BFA in Dance from the Ohio State ÐÓ°É×¨Çø, Diploma from CODARTS Conservatory in the Netherlands, and an MFA in Dance from the ÐÓ°É×¨Çø of Utah. His theater-dances have been commissioned and produced for The Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company, Columbia College, The Utah Museum of Fine Arts, California State ÐÓ°É×¨Çø, The ÐÓ°É×¨Çø of Tampa, and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Michael has performed and collaborated with the Montreal Symphony, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, American Apparel, the National ChildrenÐÓ°É×¨Çø™s Choir, and Jerome Meyer. Additionally, he was a member of the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company. He has taught classes at The ÐÓ°É×¨Çø of Dayton, The ÐÓ°É×¨Çø of Southern California, Point Park ÐÓ°É×¨Çø, and Columbia College. As a producer, Michael has self-produced multiple dance-theater works and performing arts events. Michael is also a Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst © and ABT certified ballet instructor.
