New: Introduction to Instructional Video Production

Faculty interested in adding or improving instructional videos to their online courses can now enroll in ODL 230: Introduction to Instructional Video Production offered by the Office of Distance Learning Instructional Support Team.  

杏吧专区淰ideos help to humanize a course, which increases student engagement and success,杏吧专区 explains Dr. Francesco Crocco, assistant director for instructional support. 杏吧专区淗owever, they can be challenging to produce, so this facilitated course offers guidance on how to produce simple but effective videos.杏吧专区

The new video production course covers the most common types of instructional videos while introducing helpful tools, including AI tools, that can support easy video production.  

Participants should expect to spend 6-8 hours completing this facilitated, one-week course.  

It杏吧专区檚 the newest addition to the suite of facilitated and self-directed professional development courses offered by the Instructional Support Team. While these courses can be applied as part of the pathways to earn ULearn Certified Teacher or ULearn Certified Course Designer designations, many of the opportunities can benefit experienced faculty, as well.  

杏吧专区淭his course is beneficial for all faculty teaching any modality, whether or not they杏吧专区檙e ULearn Certified,杏吧专区 says Dr. Crocco.
