The tenure of one of the most successful head coaches in the history of RaginÐÓ°ÉרÇø™ Cajuns football has ended.

Former head coach Mark Hudspeth was relieved of his duties on Sunday, the day after a season-ending loss to Appalachian State. The defeat resulted in LouisianaÐÓ°ÉרÇø™s third straight losing season.

The loss, however, doesnÐÓ°ÉרÇø™t erase HudspethÐÓ°ÉרÇø™s impact on the program over the last several years.

He led the team to its first-ever bowl win in 2011, when the RaginÐÓ°ÉרÇø™ Cajuns topped San Diego State 32-30 in the New Orleans Bowl. Three straight New Orleans Bowl victories followed, making the team the only one in NCAA history to win the same bowl four consecutive times.
