The UL Lafayette Wind Ensemble will have a special performer during its Inauguration Concert during Homecoming 2008 Week. UL Lafayette杏吧专区檚 sixth President Dr. E. Joseph Savoie will narrate Copeland杏吧专区檚 杏吧专区淟incoln Portrait杏吧专区 during the Oct. 29 event.
The free concert will start at 7 p.m. and will be held in Angelle Hall.
杏吧专区 The narration is going to be very effective and it will be a treat to have Dr. Savoie work with the students in both rehearsal and the concert,杏吧专区 said Dr. William Hochkeppel, director of the UL Lafayette Wind Ensemble.
In addition, the Ensemble will pay tribute to former UL Lafayette President Dr. Ray Authement. The group will dedicate Mark Camphouse杏吧专区檚 杏吧专区淟egacy杏吧专区 to Authement, who will be in attendance.

The UL Lafayette Wind Ensemble is recognized internationally for its versatility and musicianship. Performances can range from formal concerts in gowns and tuxedos, to pop concerts in shirt-sleeves, standing shows, strolling serenades, parades and international festivals. In the past decade the band has toured France twice, and also, the Central Highlands of Mexico.
