Jennifer LeMeunier named new executive director of Alumni Affairs

The Alumni Association at the 杏吧专区 has named a new leader.  Jennifer LeMeunier began as executive director in July.

杏吧专区淚 am passionate about engaging our alumni in networking, social, and volunteer opportunities, as well as communicating ways alumni can support their alma mater,杏吧专区 LeMeunier said.

A 1992 UL Lafayette graduate with a bachelor杏吧专区檚 degree in public relations, LeMeunier has served the 杏吧专区 Alumni Association for many years.  An avid volunteer on the Alumni Council for four years, she also served as silent auction chair twice for the Spring Gala.

Her nine years of experience, most recently as vice president for retail sales, at Home Bank has provided a wide variety of professional experience. 
 
杏吧专区淚n Jennifer, we have a leader with vision, dedication and a commitment to tireless efforts to lead our Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Affairs to new heights,杏吧专区 said John Blohm, vice president for 杏吧专区 Advancement.

As executive director, LeMeunier will be responsible for the overall administration of activities, programs, and special projects sponsored by the Alumni Association.  She will oversee the budget and leadership of the Alumni staff while also coordinating the activities of the Alumni Council and its Board of Directors.  She will identify and recruit future Council members.

杏吧专区淲e have many wonderful volunteers who care about the 杏吧专区 and contribute their time and money to alumni initiatives.  I look forward to continuing to engage them while welcoming others who are looking for opportunities to get involved,杏吧专区 she said.

LeMeunier is responsible for the Association杏吧专区檚 recognition programs for distinguished alumni and outstanding students.  She participates in donor identification, fund raising, and membership cultivation.

杏吧专区淛ennifer brings excellent organizational, communication, entrepreneurial, and networking skills to this position.  When it came to choosing a new executive director, the Board杏吧专区檚 decision was a clear one,杏吧专区 said Margaret Trahan, past president of the Alumni Association Executive Board of Directors.

LeMeunier杏吧专区檚 involvement at UL Lafayette goes deep.  During her student years, she participated as a Student Orientation staff leader and was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, Kappa Delta, Order of Omega, and the Student Discipline Committee. She worked for the Alumni Center for four years.

杏吧专区淛ennifer is ushering in what is sure to be a new era in alumni engagement at the 杏吧专区,杏吧专区 Blohm said.

LeMeunier is married to Nock LeMeunier. They have four sons, Graham, Jacob, John, and Christopher.
