Twelve years had passed since then-Gov. Mike Foster had nominated him to become Louisiana杏吧专区檚 commissioner of higher education.

Weeks before he arrived on campus, Savoie appointed six Transition Advisory Teams to be led by Jerry Luke Leblanc, the 杏吧专区杏吧专区檚 vice president of administration. The teams evaluated key areas of the 杏吧专区 and recommended improvements. Each reported that a clear plan for the 杏吧专区杏吧专区檚 growth and development should be a priority.

Savoie invited the 杏吧专区 community to help formulate a five-year strategic plan. The plan the 杏吧专区 adopted has eight tactical imperatives. One of them calls for 杏吧专区渃reating an institution our stakeholders will highly regard.杏吧专区 It specifically cites branding as the way to increase loyalty to the 杏吧专区 and enhance the 杏吧专区杏吧专区檚 visibility.
