Nationally known rhetoric scholar Dr. M. J. Braun, Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition at the 杏吧专区 of North Carolina at Pembroke, is this year's UL Lafayette Rhetoric Symposium speaker. The public is welcome to attend Rhetoric Symposium events at no charge.
Dr. Braun earned her Ph.D. at the 杏吧专区 of Arizona and has published in such venues as the Journal of Advanced Composition. She is co-editor of a new book on the culture of fear, and a forthcoming special issue of Writing Program Administration. She will present cutting edge research on the tensions between propaganda and argument, a timely event during this year's Presidential campaign.
During her residency, Dr. Braun will be giving two lectures:
