RaginӰר Roar, UL LafayetteӰרs biggest pep rally of the year, is set for 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Quadrangle on campus.
The event, sponsored by the Ӱר Program Council, is traditionally held before LouisianaӰרs RaginӰר CajunsӰר first home football game. But it had to be rescheduled this year due to Hurricane Isaac.
RaginӰר Cajun cheerleaders; the RaginӰר Jazz dance team; Cayenne, the universityӰרs spirit leader; and UL LafayetteӰרs Pride of Acadiana Marching Band will be on hand to rev up the crowd.
ӰרRaginӰר Roar is held to get students excited about the upcoming football season and to recognize all athletic teams,Ӱר said Heidi Hollingsworth, assistant director of student programming at UL Lafayette.
The public is invited to attend.
The RaginӰר Cajuns will face Florida International ӰרӰרs Panthers at Cajun Field on Saturday.
