More than 40 graduating seniors from St. Thomas More High School signed a letter of ӰרintentӰר to attend the Ӱר on April 29. This Academic Signing Day was a first for UL Lafayette. The event showcases students and highlight their academic achievements during high school.
A second signing day was held at Catholic High School in New Iberia on May 1. Fourteen students signed letters of intent to attend UL Lafayete.
Ӱר Following the theme of National Signing Day for athletes, weӰרve begun to host academic signings to recognize students who have excelled academically by having them indicate their intent to enroll at UL Lafayette,Ӱר said Chip Jackson, director of Enrollment Services.
At STM, 42 students signed letters of intent and UL Lafayette scholarship offers. Plans are being finalized for more signings at area high schools.

The STM students will receive $156,000 in scholarships at UL Lafayette. Some of these scholarships include the Dr. Ben and Clare Roy Thibodeaux Scholarship, the Centennial Scholarship, the Academic Excellence Scholarship and the Distinguished Freshman Scholarship.
