UL Press nonfiction books earn gold, silver and bronze awards

UL Press swept the category for ӰרSouth: Best Regional Non-FictionӰר in this yearӰרs Independent Publishers Book Awards competition.

Todd MoutonӰרs ӰרWay Down in Louisiana: Clifton Chenier, Cajun, Zydeco, and Swamp Pop MusicӰר won the gold medal.

ӰרThe Good Times Rolled: Black New Orleans, 1979-1983Ӱר by Bernard Hermann took the silver Medal and ӰרNew Orleans: Life and Death in the Big EasyӰר by Cheryl Gerber earned the bronze medal.

The Ippy Award is one of the highest honors for books produced by independent publishers. About 2,400 publishers participate in the award competition each year.

The Ӱר Press publishes books that make significant contributions to the study of Louisiana's history and cultures.
