Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the MS in Informatics online program, you must have:

A bachelor�Ӱ�ר��s degree in any field.
Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.75, or 3.0 (on 4.0 scale) in the last 60 hours.

Note: No GRE scores are required for this program.

Application Materials

To complete your application, you'll need to provide the following. With the exception of transcripts, all documents can be submitted through the online application portal.

Course Requirements

You'll need to complete 33 credit hours to earn your master's degree in informatics, regardless of your concentration.

If you're pursuing the degree with an undergraduate degree in an unrelated field of study, you must take INFX 500 - Introduction to Informatics (3 credit hours).

All students must complete the following core courses:

INFX 502 - Systematic Methods in Informatics Credit Hours: 3
INFX 510 - Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in Informatics Credit Hours: 3
INFX 540 - Informatics Network Infrastructures and Management Credit Hours: 3
INFX 580 - Systems Development Credit Hours: 3
INFX 590 - IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) Credit Hours: 3

Online graduate students have the benefit of flat-rate, $480-per-credit tuition.

Eligibility

Because courses in this program will only be available online, the program may not be available to all applicants. The �Ӱ�ר�� and its online programs must be in compliance in every state where a student is located. (Visit the Graduate Admissions page to learn more.) International students also may not be eligible. According to U.S. immigration regulations, F-1 students cannot pursue online degrees; international students in other visa categories (i.e., H-4, L2) are exempt from this restriction.
