Meet Our New VP for 杏吧专区 Advancement

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I am pleased to announce that John Blohm (pronounced bloom) is our new Vice President for 杏吧专区 Advancement.

John is interim Vice President for Advancement at the 杏吧专区 of New Haven. He will join us in January, and his official appointment is subject to approval by the UL System Board of Supervisors.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the vice president search. After John杏吧专区檚 visit to campus, I heard positive comments from many who met him. Besides a series of meetings, he attended a Ragin杏吧专区 Cajuns football game, where he went out of his way to learn about the university and community by talking to everyone he could, from donors to diehard alumni.

John spent his college years in Michigan, and his professional career of institutional advancement spans universities across the South. Prior to his tenure at New Haven, he was Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations at Virginia Commonwealth 杏吧专区. He had leadership roles at the 杏吧专区 of Arkansas, Emory 杏吧专区, the 杏吧专区 of Alabama at Birmingham, and the 杏吧专区 of Florida.

John is an accomplished advancement professional with extensive knowledge of development. He plans to improve operations to maximize fundraising and enhance alumni relations, communications and marketing across the 杏吧专区.

He is eager to advance the 杏吧专区杏吧专区檚 growing national reputation and has expressed interest in further developing a 杏吧专区渃ulture of giving杏吧专区 at UL Lafayette.

We look forward to John杏吧专区檚 arrival to campus in January.

Sincerely,

E. Joseph Savoie
