UL Lafayette Opera Theater is the ÐÓ°ÉרÇøÐÓ°ÉרÇø™s premier ensemble for opera and musical theatre performance. Designed for students who want to bring their voice, acting, and stage presence to the next level, the program offers professional-level productions and in-depth training in voice, movement, acting, and repertoire.
Whether youÐÓ°ÉרÇø™re pursuing a career in performance or are passionate about the stage, Opera Theater provides the opportunity to turn classroom learning into fully realized live productions.
Production Highlights
- Two mainstage productions each year: one opera and one musical
- Fully staged and costumed performances with professional direction and design
- Regular collaborations with the UL Lafayette Symphony Orchestra and Acadiana Symphony Orchestra
- Opportunities to perform in outreach programs for local schools and the Greater Acadiana community
